The homeowner wanted to update the kitchen but also make it functional. The home has traditional architecture and the homeowner has contemporary taste. I needed to marry the two styles while also making the remodel look original to the home. We elected to go with Sub-Zero Wolf appliances for their performance and durability. The Caesarstone provided a look similar to marble but performance for someone who entertains often. It is low maintenance and there is no need to worry if red wine is spilled. The custom glazed finish on the cabinetry provides a traditional element but is also contemporary as the technique has a linear brushed pattern versus a traditional rub. The gray color is popular now but will be timeless along with the dark island stain. The homeowner has art and accessories that are bright and bold in color so we continued the white paint color throughout. Overall the homeowner was very pleased with the look and function of the new kitchen.
